My name is Siiri, and I am the project manager for this blog series.
I am 21 years old and I’m studying as a Sales Engineer for the second year in Turku University of Applied Sciences. In business-to-business sales, I am most interested in good customer experience, finding a solution to customer needs and the opportunity for continuous personal development.
Among my hobbies I could mention volleyball and racket games such as badminton, padel and golf. A lot of my free time is also spent working at various events like gigs and games.
This course is part of my curriculum and I feel that this is useful for me not only from the point of sales but also from the point of project work. I have been working now for 4 months as an SDR (Sales Development Representative) in SaaS company called Lyyti. That way I have already gained some sales experience and have been able to put into practice what I learned in school. I am really looking forward to see, how this kind of blog writing goes! My name is Joonas, and I am 22 years old. I am currently studying my last year in Industrial Management and Engineering at Turku University of Applied Sciences. As my hobbies, I go to gym and sometimes I play football with my friends. Also, I like being with my dogs and go jogging with them.
I am very interested in sales and that is why I chose this course. Also, that is the reason for this introduction of me. I have worked as a sales clerk in supermarket for about 5 years. I still think that I do not have much of experience from sales, and I am ready to do the work that is needed to get more experienced.
I am Eero, 23 years old from Turku, Finland. I am currently studying for the second year as a Sales Engineer at Turku University of Applied Sciences. I play floorball on the TPS men’s team for the seventh year, so I spend most of my free time in my exercises. I must plan my rhythm of the week very carefully so that there is also time to stay in touch with friends.
I am really interested in technical sales and the chores involved. The reason for choosing this course was that it seems interesting, and I see a lot of benefits from this course. I have no previous sales experience to tell you about, but I believe my own contacts and teamwork skills are important in technical sales.
My name is Mark, and I am 21 years old sales engineering student at Turku University of Applied Sciences. On my free time I like to hang out with friends. I also love to play football and I have played it for 14 years. I’m also a double citizen, I was born in the United States but lived almost my whole life in Finland.
I have always been interested in sales and marketing and that why I’m studying to be a sales engineer. I have a little bit of experience about sales in few different fields; I have worked in a department store and in an electronic and supplies store. I think I’ll be learning a lot more about sales during this course and I think it has been great so far.
And hello there, this is Patrik! A 26 years old sales engineering student from Turku. I study my second year at Turku University of Applied Sciences. I don’t really have any hobbies anymore but usually I spend my free time playing different videogames and hanging out with my friends.
All my past sales experience comes from my current job as a sales clerk in a supermarket. I’ve been doing that for about 8 years now. But as you can guess, that wasn’t the right place for me. Somehow, I wanted to aim higher and found that I can be a sales engineer. My first thought was that ”this is a degree for me”. I do think that my past experience in the supermarket has helped me a lot and is a good ground for my future job in technical sales.
