In the end of February, we introduced you some of other group’s projects and now it is time to post a little update.

Trip to Trop how has working with this project been?

The project has gone well overall. We sent a survey to European sales engineer teachers about what it would be good to have on the competence map. However, we did not receive any response to the survey, so we decided to do one ourselves. We thought it ended up being quite good and now the project is coming to an end.

Is the Project Research going as planned?

Yes, our project is going well so far! We have done a lot of research of need of sales engineers in Finland. We have found this topic interesting as we can get beneficial information of our future jobs. We have learned how these jobs or positions are called, what different skills are required to get employed, how salary is made up and so on. We still have work to do so we have to keep going!

Team Worldwide how are you doing?

We are doing better than well. The interviews are done and next it is time to write the article “how acting as buyer in international sales competitions improve internationalization competences”. In the end we contacted ten buyers from last year’s European Sales Competition and ended up interviewing seven of them. We got good material from the interviews, so it’s nice to start writing an article about this. Our main goal was to get high quality interview material as well as to have fun and in both of us we thought we did well!

Project SalesLab have you gotten any answers to your survey?

Actually that has been harder than we thought. We sent several emails to SalesLabs around the world but ended up having only one answer. That is why we have mainly focused on writing a report on how we have not achieved results. Sometimes this is the case, and we will certainly learn from this as well!

Last but not least SalesNinjas affiliations

As mentioned in the previous post introducing the other project, ours was to interview last year’s finalists and edit an end video of the answers. We are happy to announce that our project is now finished, and the video is done. We got two amazing last year’s finalists to interview and the answers and tips we got are really helpful for future competitors! All in all, we got the chance to learn more about the competition and deepen our knowledge about interviewing and video editing. We recommend that you take a look on the video! 😉

It has been nice to hear that other groups have also been doing well. Our blog project is also coming to an end, but there are still a few more to come, so don’t run away!
